  • Our student Anoushka Parikh of Grade 9 received a special award (Kanya Kelavani Nidhi) at the hands of Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi on account of women's day celebration held on 31st March 2012. She was the youngest recipient amongst 6 sports women of Gujarat. Anoushka was chosen for her performance in Badminton.
  • Students of Grade 7 demonstrated their learning during the Primary Year's Programme, on the 6th of April 2012. The exhibition represented a significant event in the life of both the school and student, synthesizing the essential elements of the programme and sharing them with the whole school community. It is a culminating experience marking the transition from grade 7 to grade 8 in the middle school. The PYP 'EXHIBITION' is staged to reveal their learning and preparedness to face the world.
  • Placements
    Our IBDP students have secured admissions to renowned Universities in the U.K. & U.S.A. like Imperial College, Kings College, UCL, Warwick University in the U.K. and Emory University, UIUC, Boston University, UCON, Brown University in the U.S.A. We wish our children all the best for their future endeavours.
  • A Musical Concert – Jack & the BeanStalk
    The students of Jr.KG. and Sr.Kg. presented their Annual Function which was based on the story Jack & the Bean Stalk. It was delightful to see our budding stars performing on this musical concert full of songs and dances. The parents were overwhelmed to see their children presenting the show with such zeal and euphoria.
  • Dr. Tarulata, Head of the school, Ms. Shivangi Panchal, Executive Director (Admin) and Ms. Meenakshi Balakrishna attended the IB Asia Pacific Regional Heads meet at Fazlanil’ Academie Globale on 29th February 2012 in Mumbai. IB Asia Pacific Regional Heads were present at the meet.
  • Ms. Shivangi Panchal, IBDP Coordinator and Ms. Meenakshi Balakrishna the PYP Coordinator attended the Annual IB Conference at Singapore from 14th -18th March 2012  
  • Ms. Shivangi Panchal, IBDP Corrdinator will be attending the westzone meet of IBDP in Mumbai. 20 schools are participating for the same.
  • Shabnam Sahay, Grade 5 student ranked 53 internationally for the National Science Olympiad and ranked 200 for the International Math Olympiad. AIS is proud of her.
  • It is our greatest pleasure to share with you that one of our student has proved her excellence when she was put to test with 1.3 lakhs other students across the country. Kaavya Sahay, studying in class 7 from our school is the ‘Highest Performing Student’ among the students of her class all across India in winter round of ASSET. Our student has shown exemplary performance in this benchmarking test. AIS congratulates her!
  • The first PYP Gujarat network meeting was held on 23rd March, 2012, at Ahmedabad International School, in order to network, strengthen ties and establish a common mission statement and professional goals for PYP schools across Gujarat. The participants of the meeting were: Ankita Kabra from Fountainhead School, Surat, Zahabiyah Shaikh Mahmood from Fountainhead School, Surat, Viraj Jhaveri from Navrachana International School, Baroda,  Jaya Kad from Calorx International School, Ahmedabad,  Minakshi Balkrishna from Ahmedabad International School, Ahmedabad.
  • Annual Art Exhibition
    Once again, the students of Grade 1-7 have proven their talent, and have been well received by the parents.The Annual Art Show was put up on the campus. Some of Indian and foreign artist's works were also showcased. The efforts put in by the teachers and students were commendable. The p arents were more than delighted to see their child's work.
  • An Evaluation Visit was conducted by Mr. Bill Fenton and Mr. Bruce Aston from IBO. They were evaluating the Primary Years Programme of IB.
  • Rahi Doshi & Anoushka Parikh from Grade 9 participated in the 57th School National Games for Badminton held at Pune in Jan’12. They were a part of the Gujarat Girls Under-17 team and have won the Silver medal.
  • TRINITY EXAMS AT AIS
    The 15th Batch of 400 AISans from Grade 3  to Grade 11 took the Trinity Speech & Drama and Communication Skills examination. The examiner Mr. Allan Lewis also conducted a workshop for the teachers of AIS and gave valuable inputs to the teachers on improvising the performance of the students.
  • A TALK BY DR. ADAM HART-DAVIS
    British Council had organized a talk by Dr.Adam Hart Davis a well known Scientist from the U.K. on ‘Hands on Science’ for high school students. He gave a talk with live demonstrations about the history of hands on science, and how we can learn a lot about physics using exceedingly simple homemade apparatus. He spoke on different scientists and their contribution to science with live experiments.
  • iota 2012 - An exhibition on Math and Science
    iota 2012 - An exhibition on Math and Science has been organized by the students of Grade 8 to 11. The students have made different models and charts on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. All the parents are cordially invited.
  • Picnics
    Picnics are a part of our curriculum for which the children are always excited and thrilled. Students from Jr. Kg. to Grade 3 visited Indroda Park and Grade 4 to Grade 12 visited Tirupati Farms. It was a fun filled day with lots of euphoria around.
  • Dance Party
    As every year, the school had organized a Christmas Dance Party for Grade 6 onwards. The music and the ambience held the students enthralled.
  • Camp to Mt. Abu
    Students of Grade 5 went for a camp to Mt. Abu. The chilly weather added to the gusto just to make it more memorable!
  • AIS CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL
    TODDEN, AIS has organised a Christmas Carnival for all the pre-primary students on December 22, 2011 from 5:30 onwards at AIS. The students who are going to join us from the next academic year are also cordially invited for the same. Those who have not collected the passes are requested to collect it from the frontdesk at AIS. It will be a fun evening with games, treats and gifts.
  • Trinity Guildhall Music Exams at AIS
    225 students of Ahmedabad and Baroda took the Trinity Guildhall Music Practical Exams on various Instruments. Mr. Edwin Hooson, the examiner also conducted a workshop and gave valuable inputs.
  • Annual Day at AIS
    Annual Day was celebrated on December 10, 2011 by all the students.
    The theme 'Que Sera Sera' - an innovative dance fusion choreographed by renowned kathak dancers Maulik and Ishira Parikh left the audience spellbound.
  • The 14th Batch of 200 students from Ahmedabad & Baroda took the Trinity Speech & Drama and Communication Skills examination. The examiner Ms. Woolford Claire gave valuable inputs to the teachers on improvising the performance of the students.
  • Vaishnavi Bhimani, Akanksha Shah and Ruchi Shah have been selected for participation in the state level spot painting competition on the theme "Conserve Water for Future" being organized at Gujarat Science City by Ministry of Water Resources and Central Ground Water Board.
  • Anoushka Parikh who was selected for ASIA YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP, CHIBA JAPAN won the bronze medal in Under 15 (Girls Doubles), Badminton, doing us and India proud.
  • Nishant, Naman, Luv , Parth and Siddhant from IBDP-2 participated in Debating Matters India organized by British Council. The students cleared the first round which is an online elimination round to enter into the regional round.
  • China Trip
    IBDP-1 and AS Level students visited Beijing, China for their CAS programme. The students interacted with children of Sun Zhuang Zi Centre Basic School between age group 5 and 15. They taught them English, Art & Design, Traditional Folk Dance (Garba) and Popular Dance Steps.

  • British Council Workshop at AIS on 24, September, 2011
    AIS is hosting a one-day professional development workshop for English Language Teachers and trainers in collaboration with The British Council and ELTAI (English Language Teachers' Association of India) Around 300 teachers have registered for this workshop.
  • PYP Orientation for Grades 1-7
    Ms. Minakshi Balkrishna our PYP Coordinator held PYP Orientation defining the Programme of Inquiry for the parents of students from Grades 1-7. The purpose of the entire programme was to develop an understanding of the Primary Year Programme of IBO at AIS. Photo1,Photo2
  • Grade 3 Assembly
    Assemblies are meant to showcase the attributes of the learner profile. It gives a glimpse of the learning engagements in the classroom. These presentations build confidence in students to perform in front of the targeted audience. The students of Grade 3 had a presentation on the unit of water. The central idea was-'Water is essential to life and is a limited resource for many people.' Photo
  • Anoushka Parikh selected for ASIA YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP, CHEEBA JAPAN
    We take great pleasure and pride to state that Anoushka Parikh, student of Grade IX has been selected in the Badminton Team which is to represent India at the ASIA YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP to be held in CHEEBA, JAPAN from 5th -9th October 2011. She will be a part of Under 15 Contingent. Currently she is undergoing a special training at the National Camp held in Lucknow having won the ALL INDIA RANKING TOURNAMENT at Indore in August. She is now among the top 5 players in both Single and Doubles Category. AIS wishes her all the best. Photo
  • Linden Tour visited AIS
    Linden Tour visited AIS with a representation of 16 Universities; major universities were Washington University, Syracuse University, University of Buffalo etc. They interacted with the students of Grade 11 & 12 giving them an insight on the Under Graduate Programmes conducted in their Universities.
