Building and Showcasing Diverse Skills

Admissions committees value students with independent thinking, curiosity, and a commitment to learning. At AIS, students build leadership skills through the Harvard Youth Entrepreneurship Program and Harvard Model Congress Summer Camp, while honing critical thinking via Clever Harvey’s JuniorMBA and research skills through workshops and capstone projects.

Community Service

Colleges value the quality and impact of community service over quantity. With the TIDE Foundation, students engage in authentic year-long projects with rural schools, local colleges, and other organizations. This contributes to IBDP students' CAS requirement while developing leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Building Stand-out Projects

Students can choose between visual arts and coding, robotics, & digital fabrication to build impressive extracurricular projects for their college applications. In visual arts, they explore painting, printmaking, sculpture, and digital art, showcasing their work at Kala, our annual art festival. In coding and robotics, students develop apps, AI games, and robots, featuring their innovations at our annual MakerFest.
